Im looking for an apartment that goes by your income, in Columbus Ohio. Please tell me any answer that you may have: If its apartments that you know of or have telephone numbers or links. Thank you so very much.

You can’t apply directly with them anyway, calling would not help.

income based apartments?

i dont have any kids, but im going to school online tryin to get my highschool diploma again and i work part time..do you think i will qualify for an income based apartment?
I ALSO DID NOT MENTION I WORK PART TIME CUS MY FIANCE WORKS FULL TIME AND DOESNT THINK IT IS NECESSARY I WORK FULL TIME SINCE I GOT TO SCHOOL IN THE DAY. BUT SINCE HE IS AN ILLEGAL HE CANT GET NOTHING IN HIS NAME LIKE I CAN.

Administrator answers:

No. You have to have a full time job. Tax payers will not pay housing so you can sit online all day. You are also on your own as you have no family to support, you are low income by choice. Families are helped because the children did not make a choice, their parents did.

Betty asks…

A few questions about income based apartments…?

Is it a good place to live?
Where can I find them?
Do they require leasing such as 6-12 months?

Tell me your experiences if you have lived in there.

I have a husband and our daughter, 19 months old just in case you need to know. We have very low income like $1000/month.

Administrator answers:

You obtain them via the housing authority, however, you may not qualify, for you income indicates that not even one of you is working for minimum wage. It is required that you both work or are on disability, or social security. The subsidies are to help people out who are trying, not to subsidize a non-working life style.

And yes, contracts are for a minimum of 12 months.

Mandy asks…

i was just wondering where can i find income based apartments that’s in Alameda County area?

Administrator answers:

Most of them are in the San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Richmond and Oakland. Your case worker may not approve of you living too far from your work though, you need to consult them about where you are apply.
