Your Questions About Rent A House In Hawaii
I want to rent a beach house somewhere in the Caribbean, Hawaii or Florida, Can you recommend a where to go?
I can really only speak for florida, but i would think it’s cheaper than the islands and definitely hawaii.although hawaii is the hot place to go.you did not mention what season you want to rent and if the kids involved here. If money is a factor,or your idea of the perfect vacation.florida best in winter.it depends mostly if you want a big city near by to investigate or complete quiet. Relaxation .for lots of things to do try miami, south beach, or ft. Lauderdale.for a medium town close driving to activities, daytona beach(drive to orlando or tallahassee,or st. Augustine))clearwater beach st. Petersburg beach(close to tampa(superbowl) and ft.meyers beach(a little busy getting around.0 for small town quiet try the florida keys, lots of good restaurants, and night life.and historic places……..the bahamas are beautiful, close to usa for short travel distance from florida.the west coast of florida is the gulf and much nicer sandy beaches hope this helps
i would like information on the best place to rent a home in hawaii?
would like info on renting a beach house in hawaii for 2-4 weeks in the summer, please tell me the best & worst places and also any other helpful info
I have have been to Hawaii twice and me and my family are going back this Christmas.
So depending on your budget there are three towns that families stay, Wailea , Kanapali and Kihei.
The more desirable places out of the three are Kanapali and Wailea.
Wailea: Has more of the big, fancy resorts such as The Grand Wailea (A Waldorf Astoria Collection), The Fairmont Kea Lani, The Four Seasons and many other extremely expensive places. The reason why Wailea is so popular is because of its beaches.
Kanapali:Is more of a budget friendly place but still has gorgeous beaches.
Renting: For renting a place it solidly depends on your budget again. In Wailea you are looking to spend a lot of money unless you get a good deal.
I can’t give you all the info you need so a really good book to look for is Called “Maui Revealed” by Andrew Doughty it is awesome.
Hope I helped.
What is the best place in Hawaii to improve my surfing?
I’ve been surfing for a few months on long boards, and I’m getting really bored. I want to learn to surf shortboards. I stayed in Northern California for a little while but it was really cold and foggy, and I stayed in Florida for a little while but the waves sucked. I want to go to Hawaii for a few months and rent a house and learn how to ride shortboards. What place would be best for this?
Start on the south shore, Threes, Kaisers ,Ala Moana bowl.
Then think about Chun’s reef or Rockies on the North shore later
Don’t even think about pipe or off the wall

How to break a house lease in Hawaii?
What options do I have to break a lease? We signed a two year lease on a house this past February in Hawaii. So we are 8 months into the lease. I have moved to a new job and the longer commute is proving to be a problem. Additionally, we have “bitten off more than we can chew” as the utilities are proving to be much higher than expected. Our intent is to move to a cheaper, smaller house. The property manager informed me that I am responsible for the full term of the lease…$3500 a month until February of 2010. Or he will let me out of the lease if a new renter is found. He said he would put it back on the market as available, but has not done so yet. I have offered to sacrifice my deposit or pay a release fee, but have not had any success. Bottom line: We are in over our heads with this house. I understand that the lease is a binding contract, but I find it hard to believe that I have no other option other than continuing to pay rent on a house that I can no longer afford while I beg the property manager to relist it and find another tenant. Help!
Try advertising the place on Craigs List yourself. This way you know it is being listed for rent. Best of luck
What are the steps i should take before migrating to Hawaii permanently? I am from Malaysia.?
I have recently obtained my U.S citizenship and social security number (I was born in the U.S) I have never went back to U.S and don’t know what to expect. I’ve decided to reside in Hawaii, rent a house, get a job or maybe open a small business (maybe a hot dog cart). Back in Malaysia I owned 3 casual dining restaurants and has worked in many F&B positions and the highest position was a Head Chef in a Cafeteria with 5-6k daily sales. Thank You.
If u dont have family here u should start looking for a place now. Send in the down payment to reserve your apt. We are crowded here and housing is expensive. Best of luck and I know u will love it here.
Has anyone rented a house in Hawaii for vaca?
I can no longer stay in the hotels b/c my family now numbers 7! So were looking for homes to rent for a week or two weeks. Has anyone done this? I see tons of options out there looking for experiences people have had. Any island is fine just need to start doing the research! Thanks so much.
Howzit Realtor, look in craigslist.com….go to hawaii… Then vacation rentals…whatever island u want. There are lots but during the winter it’s impossible to get one on the North Shore of Oahu because of the big surf, they’re booked 1 yr. In advance during the winter. Kailua or Kaneohe on Oahu’s Windward side is good. Schraeder’s in Kaneohe Bay, Napili Bay Hotel on Maui is good. Any condos on Napili Bay for families w/ kids (Google or craigslist “Napili Bay” or West Maui condos …..or Kihei (South Shore Maui)
