Your Questions About Section 8 Wallpaper

June 4, 2012

Lisa asks…

Something other than these white walls?

I want to do a mural for my babies room in a huge princess castle and have found this wonderful website that does offer mural wallpaper (exactly what I’m looking for) in 8 different sectioned panels, BUT I live in an apartment so I cannot wallpaper the wall so I was thinking what about wallpapering foam boards. The mural is 12 feet by 9 feet and in 8 sections. My concerns are hanging the foam boards to the wall without damage, and what about the seams for next to each panel. Any thoughts on this would be great!!!

Administrator answers:

Foam board is too porous and fragil for a project like this. If you want to last a long time, I would suggest using hardboard instead. You can find it at any home center (like Home Depot). As it’s name implies, it is a hard surface, but is very thin (less than 1/2 cm.) AND very strong. You might be able to attach it to the wall by using removable adhesive (also found at home center); it’s like a double-sided, foamy tape, you leave a small tip showing so when you’re ready to take it down, you simply pull at it -parallel to the wall- and it slides right out.
As for the seams, since it will be sectional, there’s no avoiding those. The tighter you squeeze the panels together though, the less visible they will be.

Wow, if you can’t read that, your dumber than a 4th grader. I don’t really know how you will make it in college, you probably won’t. If you can’t read that you don’t deserve an education! Dare to prove me wrong?
True, it’s a painting based on Thanksgiving.

Administrator answers:

Goodness me!
I don’t think skin is repeated.

I only see two things repeated, not really repeated words but the same meaning repeated. You first wrote grandmother and grandfather. Then wrote grandad and granny. Then wrote grandma and grandpa.
Another thing is you wrote gentleman, ladies. Then women and girl, then ladies and men. Then females and males.

I think I see the pattern. You write the first word then after that you write the first thing that comes to your mind, am I right?

Edit: I actually read the whole thing over this time, celery was repeated. :)
