Your Questions About Studio Apartment Ideas

November 10, 2012

Daniel asks…

Any ballpark ideas on cost to turn basement into studio apartment ?

The basement is basically unfinished, although it has been waterproofed (B-Dry, including dehumidification/ventilation system) and has a heat source (radiators) and is approximately 300 square feet.

I know it depends on a LOT of things, but I’d be happy with an EXTREMELY rough estimate.

Administrator answers:

I could do it for a 1000 bucks. If you hire someone and buy all new fittings and fixtures. 5-6 thousand. ( providing you have toilet plumbing existing. Add another grand if you have to jackhammer the floor and install drains.)
