William asks…

HOW IS THE CRIME IN SAN ANTONIO,TX?

IS THE CRIME RATE HIGH IN SAN ANTONIO,TX.
I HAVE LOOKING FOR APARTMENTS THERE AND SOME OF THE REVIEWS FROM THE PEOPLE SAY THEY HAVE BEEN BROKEN INTO AND CAR BROKEN INTO AS WELL.

Administrator answers:

Some parts of San Antonio have a much higher crime rate than other parts, but nowhere is totally immune to break-ins. Having said that, the north and northwest sides of town seem to be the safest, especially outside of Loop 410.

Donna asks…

Please Help me? I’m looking for a place to stay..?

I live in San Antonio Tx. I work at the animal defense league in the NE part of our city. I’m looking for a cheap apartment close to where I work or someplace where I could catch a bus there.
I would also would like to have a roomate to help me pay for the rent, does anyone know if it is legal to post this in a newspaper? (looking for a roomate)
I would prefer a roomate so I wouldn’t have to be alone. Thanks for the help

Administrator answers:

Yep, check CL. I don’t have a good place for you to check out, but I would avoid Iron Horse Valley on 410 between Perrin Beitel and Starcrest.

Have you checked out the apts that back up to Wurzbach Pkwy between Naco and Perrin Beitel? You could almost walk to work from there if you wanted to.

Mandy asks…

Moving to San Antonio, TX.?

We are moving to San Antonio, TX next year around this time. It is just my husband, my 2 year old son and I. Where is the best place to live. I have heard north of San Antonio would be best. What is the best preschool for my son? How is life in San Antonio….
Looking to live in an apartment

Administrator answers:

There are a lot of apartments in the Stone Oak area, which is a very good part of town on the north side. If you lived there, your children would be attending NEISD school district.

I’m not overly familiar with specific preschools, but the area is very child friendly and I know there are plenty you could choose from.

Housing is most expensive in this area of town, but San Antonio has some of the cheapest real estate in America, so depending on where you’re moving from, rent will most likely be less than or around what you’re used to.

Good luck!

Ruth asks…
