What area is best to live in Los Angeles?

Hi, I plan to live in Los Angeles for a while and get some work experience in the US. I am a student so i can’t really afford total luxury so i was just wondering what areas are best for someone in my situation. I would really like a one or two bed roomed apartment but anything will do!
Thanks

Administrator answers:

I serousily think that you should live out side of LA and comute because it so exspensive. I have got famliy in LA but they had to move to Santa Monica where im movin to because the prices were so high ! So i think you should move towards the outskirts of LA. Dont worry you will find something it’s a big place ! SAM

Is this the right description for “Sonny With A Chance”?

Sonny Munroe (Jason Dolley) is a boy who lives in the penthouse of a luxury apartment in Los Angeles. His best friends are Chad Dylan Cooper (Sterling Knight) and Toni Hart (Tiffany Thornton). Together, they star in a sketch comedy show called “So Random!”.

The show is created by Bruce Kalish, who also created the Disney XD series “Aaron Stone” and was also one of the creators of “Wizards of Waverly Place”. The theme song is written by Kenny Ortega and sung by Emily Osment and Mitchel Musso. Below are the lyrics to the theme song:

I know you see,
Somehow the world will change for me
And be so wonderful
Live high, breathe in,
I know somehow we’re gonna get there
And feel so wonderful

It’s all for real,
I’m telling you just how i feel
So wake up the members of my nation
It’s that time of day
There’s no chance unless you take one
There are times we see the brighter side of every situation
Some things are meant to be
So give me your best and leave it all to me

Leave it all to me (X2)
Just leave it all to me
This show is a spin off from “Drake’s World”. “DW” had an earlier spin-off called “Darcy’s Wild Life”, which revolved around Sharpay “Darcy” Fields living on the wild side in her home state of Tennessee.

Apartment Cleaning Obligation to renter?

I moved in to an apartment today and the place wasn’t even cleaned. the mess from the previous tennants were still there. The bath and kitchen were stained. The walls have markings and holes. And the floors and carpet are dirty. Is there a legal obligation that the apartment needs to clean before tennant should move in. The place is in Los Angeles, CA. It’s a luxury apartment $2500/month.

It’s too bad that you’re having such a difficult time with this landlord. Look at your rental agreement to see if it states that the apartment will be delivered to you in a livable and clean condition.

They probably took a security deposit and cleaning fee from you in order to rent it to you, but that applies to the cleaning they may or may not have to do when YOU move out. Take pictures of everything, and then send a letter to the management company requesting a thorough cleaning immediately.

If it’s so dirty that it’s infested with roaches, bugs or just plain unsanitary, report that to the Health Department. All faucets should be in working order, your electrical outlets should be functional (no sparks when turned on), the water heater should be in good order, and the plumbing should work well (drains and toilets).

Make a list of all the things that are wrong with the apartment and give it to the management company in writing. Don’t call them. It doesn’t have as much effect as something in writing, and it becomes proof that you made the requests for correction on specific dates.

You may want to look at the California Tenant Rights information on www.caltenantlaw.com for more information on what you can do to get them to resolve the situation.

Good Luck.

Why American houses are so tacky and ugly?

Iv noticed that European, Canadian and Australian homes have far better interior designs and are eco friendly, modern, clean and edgy. While even the newest homes in the US. The American homes on the inside seem ugly, brash, old fashioned and tacky. Here are some examples to compare:
Canadian house design:

What do you think?

Administrator answers:

I agree that European design is more modern. This is due to the fact that modernism began in Europe and maybe it has not yet become mainstream in America. Even new architecture being built today are very traditional. Many architecture and interior designs of the 1920s are still considered too modern.
